Effective Date: September 13, 2026
Please read this document carefully. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accept its terms.
01Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the National Travel Basketball Association ("NTBA," "we," "us," or "our") website and any related registration, verification, membership, and store services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is published on this website. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you are a parent or legal guardian registering a minor athlete, you accept these Terms on behalf of yourself and the athlete, and you are responsible for the athlete's compliance.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" shown on this page indicates when the current version took effect. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
02About NTBA and the Services
NTBA operates youth travel basketball events, tournaments, and national championships, and maintains this website to publish event information, schedules, rosters, standings, news, athlete coverage, and merchandise, and to accept team registrations and entry fee payments.
The Services are provided for informational and transactional purposes related to NTBA programs. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer, contract, or guarantee of participation; all registrations are subject to eligibility requirements, division capacity, and the rules described below.
03Accounts and Registration Eligibility
You may browse the website without an account. Certain features — such as completing a paid registration or an athlete verification submission — may require you to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
You represent that all information you submit is truthful and accurate, including athlete names, dates of birth, grade levels, and contact details, and that you are authorized to submit information on behalf of any team, program, or athlete you register.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately through the Contact page if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
04Acceptable Use
When using the Services, you agree not to:
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including misrepresenting an athlete's age, grade, or eligibility status.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security, eligibility, or verification controls.
- Use the Services to harass, threaten, or defame any person, or to distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, obscene, or infringing.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, other users' information, or NTBA systems.
- Scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the website content without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of publicly available information about your own team or athlete.
- Interfere with the operation of the Services, including by uploading malicious code or placing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services without our prior written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms, that creates liability for NTBA, or that is otherwise harmful to other users or to NTBA programs.
05Team and Event Registration; Fees and Refunds
Registering a team for an NTBA event creates a commitment to pay the published entry fee for that event. Entry fees are displayed at the time of registration and are charged through our secure checkout process.
Entry fees are generally non-refundable once a registration is submitted and payment is completed, because event capacity, scheduling, and staffing commitments are made in reliance on registrations. Refunds or credits may be offered at NTBA's sole discretion in cases such as event cancellation, format changes, or documented hardship.
If an event is cancelled by NTBA, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered teams and will announce the applicable remedy (refund or credit toward a future event) at that time.
Submitting a registration does not guarantee acceptance. NTBA may decline a registration, move a team to a different division, or remove a team from an event for failure to meet eligibility requirements, non-payment, or violation of NTBA rules or these Terms.
06Age and Grade Verification
Participation in NTBA events may require proof of age or grade eligibility. Documentation submitted for verification (such as a birth certificate, passport, or school record) is used solely for eligibility review and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Falsifying, altering, or knowingly submitting ineligible documentation is grounds for immediate disqualification of the athlete and team, forfeiture of fees, suspension from future NTBA events, and any other remedy available to NTBA.
Eligibility decisions are within the sole discretion of NTBA and its designated event officials and staff.
07Purchases and Store Orders
Merchandise offered through our store is subject to availability. Your order is an offer to purchase; acceptance occurs when the order is confirmed and payment is processed.
Prices, descriptions, and availability are subject to change without notice, and we reserve the right to correct errors in pricing or product information before fulfilling an order.
For order issues, exchanges, or refund questions, contact us through the Contact page with your order details.
08Intellectual Property
The website, the NTBA name and logo, event names and marks, photographs, videos, articles, statistics, graphics, and design elements are owned by NTBA or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may view and, for personal non-commercial purposes, download or print pages from the website. You may not otherwise reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from the content without our prior written consent.
Media, statistics, and coverage published about NTBA events, including images of athletes, may be used by NTBA and its media partners for promotional and editorial purposes. If you are a parent or guardian and have a concern about the use of a specific image, contact us through the Contact page.
If you believe content on this website infringes your intellectual property rights, send a notice through the Contact page identifying the work, the allegedly infringing material, and your contact information, and we will review it promptly.
09Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites and services (for example, verification portals, team store providers, venue or partner sites). Those third parties operate independently and have their own terms and privacy policies; NTBA is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.
Any dealings you have with a third party found through the Services are solely between you and that third party.
10Athletic Participation and Assumption of Risk
Basketball and competitive athletics involve inherent risks, including the risk of serious physical injury. NTBA events are conducted in facilities we do not fully control, and participation involves contact, exertion, travel, and other foreseeable and unforeseeable risks.
Participation in NTBA events is voluntary. By registering a team or athlete, the registering adult acknowledges these risks on behalf of the team and its participants, agrees that participation is at the participant's own risk, and agrees that NTBA, its staff, officers, directors, volunteers, and venue partners are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation except to the extent prohibited by law from disclaiming liability.
Each participant must be physically fit and medically able to participate, and must follow event rules, venue rules, and the directions of event staff and officials at all times.
11Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that information published on it (including schedules, brackets, and statistics) will always be complete, current, or accurate. Schedules, results, and event details may change, and the website should not be relied upon as the sole source of event-critical information on game day.
12Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NTBA and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services.
Where liability cannot be fully disclaimed, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid to NTBA through the Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations or exclusions of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by law.
13Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NTBA and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
14Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the county where NTBA is headquartered in North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision or of any other right.
15Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or the law, or that harms NTBA or other users. Upon termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law provisions) will continue to apply.
16Contact Us
Questions about these Terms should be sent through the Contact page on this website, and we will respond through the appropriate NTBA staff member.
