The National Travel Basketball Association ("NTBA," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us through this website, our event registration systems, our athlete eligibility and verification programs, and our online store (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, the choices you have, and the safeguards we put in place. It applies to all visitors, athletes, parents and legal guardians, coaches, team administrators, spectators, customers, and other users of the Services.

If you are a parent or legal guardian of a minor athlete, you are accepting this policy on behalf of yourself and your child, and you remain responsible for your child's use of the Services.

02Information We Collect

We collect information in several ways:

• Information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, team or program name, grade or age division, athlete name and date of birth, coach and contact names, and billing details when you register a team for an event, submit an inquiry through our contact form, apply for membership, or place an order through our online store.
• Age and grade verification information: as part of athlete eligibility review, we may receive proof-of-age documentation (such as a birth certificate, passport, or school record) submitted for verification, along with the guardian name and contact details associated with the submission. These documents are stored in access-controlled, private storage and are visible only to authorized NTBA staff.
• Payment information: when you pay an entry fee or make a purchase, the transaction is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; the processor supplies us only with the transaction confirmation, order identifier, and the amount paid.
• Communications: messages you send us through the contact form, email, or other channels, and any newsletter or promotional communications you elect to receive.
• Media and photography: event photography and video, including images of athletes, that we or our credentialed partners capture at NTBA events and may publish on this website or our social media channels.
• Automatically collected information: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, and timestamps, which help us operate, secure, and improve the Services.

03How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process team registrations, event entries, membership applications, and store orders, and administer payment and refunds.
• Verify athlete age and grade eligibility in accordance with NTBA competition rules, and communicate eligibility decisions.
• Communicate with you about events you have registered for, including schedules, venue changes, weather or safety notices, and results.
• Respond to your inquiries, support requests, and feedback.
• Publish rosters, brackets, standings, statistics, highlights, and editorial coverage of NTBA events and athletes.
• Send newsletters and promotional messages where you have opted in, and to inform you of rule changes, policy updates, or safety matters.
• Maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.

04Children's Privacy

NTBA programs serve youth athletes. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. Registration and verification submissions for a minor athlete must be made or authorized by a parent or legal guardian.

We collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate our youth basketball programs: identity and contact information for the responsible adult, the athlete's name, date of birth, and eligibility documentation. Eligibility documents are stored privately, are accessible only to authorized staff for eligibility review, and are not published or shared publicly.

Parents and guardians may at any time request to review the personal information we hold about their child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to record-keeping obligations, such as eligibility and roster records we are required to retain for competition integrity). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without authorized consent, we will delete that information promptly.

05How We Share and Disclose Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: vendors and processors that help us operate the Services (for example, our payment processor, hosting and infrastructure providers, and email delivery services), each of which is permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
• Event operations: team names, divisions, schedules, rosters, results, and standings are published publicly as part of running competitions. Athlete names and images may appear alongside this competition information.
• Legal requirements: where disclosure is required by law, court order, or governmental request, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of NTBA, our users, or the public, or to investigate fraud or security issues.
• Business transitions: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of substantially all assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
• Sponsors and partners: aggregate, non-identifying information (such as overall registration counts or event attendance) may be shared with sponsors and venue partners. Sponsor communications sent to you require your consent.

06Payments and Third-Party Processors

Entry fee payments and store purchases are processed through a third-party payment platform. When you complete a payment, your financial information is handled by that processor under its own privacy policy and applicable payment network rules.

We retain a transaction record (order identifier, payer email, product, amount, date, and status) for accounting, customer service, and eligibility purposes. If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us through the Contact page and we will work with you and our processor to resolve it.

07Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Services use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, remember items in your shopping cart, preserve your preferences, and understand how the site is used. Your browser will typically allow you to block or delete cookies through its settings; some features (such as your cart) may not work if cookies are disabled.

We do not use tracking technologies to follow users across unrelated third-party websites for advertising purposes.

09Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy: active registration and competition records are kept while the relevant event or season is in operation; eligibility documentation is retained for the period required by NTBA competition rules; transaction records are retained as required by tax and accounting law; and inquiry or support communications are retained for a reasonable period and then deleted.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous so it can no longer be associated with you.

Subject to applicable law, you may request that we confirm what personal information we hold about you, provide you a copy, correct inaccuracies, or delete information that we are not otherwise required to retain.
