Please read this document carefully. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accept its terms.
01Our Commitment
The National Travel Basketball Association ("NTBA") is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible and usable by everyone, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that access to information about our programs, events, and services is important for athletes, parents, coaches, and fans of all abilities.
We take accessibility seriously and continuously work to improve the user experience for all visitors, applying both general accessibility principles and the relevant standards described below.
02Standards We Follow
We aim to design and maintain this website to conform, to the extent practicable, with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the widely accepted standard for web accessibility, and to otherwise provide access that is consistent with the spirit and requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar laws.
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort: as new pages, features, and content are added, they are designed and reviewed with these standards in mind.
03Measures We Take
Examples of the measures and features we use across this website include:
- Responsive design so that content and controls are usable on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, including with screen magnification.
- Semantic HTML structure and heading hierarchy that support screen readers and other assistive technologies.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and descriptive labels for interactive controls.
- Keyboard operability for navigation and menus, including the ability to close menus with the Escape key.
- Color contrast that meets WCAG targets for text against backgrounds, and non-reliance on color alone to convey information.
- Sufficiently large touch targets on mobile devices, including for navigation and form controls.
- Form fields with associated labels and error messages that identify the problem and how to fix it.
04Event Accessibility
Accessibility extends beyond our website. NTBA works with host venues to support accessible attendance at our events, including accessible seating, parking, and entrances at the facilities we use.
If you, an athlete, or a family member needs an accommodation at an NTBA event — including accommodations related to mobility, sensory needs, or medical conditions — contact us through the Contact page before the event where possible, and we will coordinate with the venue to assist you.
05Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of this website may not yet meet every WCAG 2.1 AA checkpoint. Third-party content embedded on our pages — such as video players, social media feeds, or external store and verification services — is controlled by third parties and may present accessibility limitations we cannot correct on their behalf.
Older or archived content (such as past articles or historical photos) may not be fully accessible, and remediation efforts for such content are prioritized by need and usage.
We do not consider these limitations acceptable as a permanent state, and we continue to work to reduce them.
06Third-Party Content
This website links to and embeds content operated by third parties (for example, video platforms, verification portals, and merchandise providers). We encourage those providers to offer accessible experiences, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of their content. If you encounter an accessibility barrier in third-party content, please let us know so we can raise it with the provider or provide the information in an alternative format.
07Feedback and Assistance
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website and our events. If you encounter a barrier, have difficulty accessing any part of the Services, or need information provided in an alternative format (such as large print or a plain-text version), contact us through the Contact page on this website.
Please describe the page or feature involved and the problem you experienced, so we can respond helpfully. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback promptly and to respond substantively, typically within five (5) business days, including the steps we will take to address the issue or a workaround in the interim.
08Ongoing Efforts and Enforcement
Accessibility is part of how we build and maintain this website: new designs and features are reviewed for accessibility before release, reported barriers are tracked and remediated, and this statement is reviewed periodically as our Services evolve.
NTBA is committed to this Accessibility Statement and treats accessibility feedback as an important input to how we improve our programs for all athletes, families, and fans.
